About Mary
Mary Thorne is a potter and ceramicist based in Wiltshire. She works mainly by throwing forms on the potters wheel, finishing with a variety of methods including carving, painting and sketching.
She creates bowls that both illustrate and are shaped by the Wiltshire countryside, and range of tableware featuring her distinctive tree motif. Mary also enjoys working with wood and ceramics to make individual wall pieces.
